In the Muse screen, Aurel K. Basedow’s painting is composed and decomposed: the layering that defines his creative process is echoed in a play of printed organza, which in motion seems to trace the very gestures of painting. Research is central to Draga & Aurel’s practice, and for this project they revisit two of their iconic works, weaving in new materials to create a dialogue between past and present.
